REFUND, CANCELLATION, RETAINER & PAYMENT POLICY

Effective Date: August 30, 2026
Last Updated: August 30, 2026
Welcome to United Academy.
This Refund, Cancellation, Retainer & Payment Policy (“Policy”) applies to purchases of applicable United Academy memberships, professional-development programs, mentorship programs, digital educational resources, workshops, events, educational experiences, and related services (“Services”).
This Policy forms part of and is incorporated into the United Academy Terms & Conditions and Terms of Use.
By purchasing, enrolling in, reserving, accessing, or participating in a United Academy Service, the purchaser (“Member,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges and agrees to this Policy, subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived.

1. GENERAL NO-REFUND POLICY

ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE EXCEPT WHERE UNITED ACADEMY EXPRESSLY AGREES OTHERWISE IN WRITING OR WHERE A REFUND OR CANCELLATION RIGHT IS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

United Academy provides access to proprietary intellectual property, educational materials, digital resources, coaching, mentorship, community resources, demonstrations, business-development education, case reviews, workshops, events, and other professional-development benefits.

Once United Academy has accepted a Member’s purchase and/or provided access to any material portion of the applicable purchased benefits, payments made toward the applicable purchase are not refundable merely because the Member later chooses not to participate, changes their mind, does not complete the program, does not use available resources, or experiences a change in personal circumstances.

Nothing in this Policy eliminates any refund, cancellation, rescission, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

2. RETAINERS, DEPOSITS, RESERVATION FEES, AND INITIAL PAYMENTS

Where clearly disclosed as non-refundable before payment, all retainers, deposits, reservation fees, enrollment payments, initial payments, and other amounts paid to reserve access, capacity, mentorship availability, an event, workshop, educational experience, date, or other limited resource are NON-REFUNDABLE to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

These payments may compensate United Academy for reserving capacity, administrative processing, onboarding, allocating personnel and resources, preparing access and materials, holding availability, and potentially declining other participants.

A Member’s subsequent inability or decision not to participate does not automatically require United Academy to return a properly disclosed non-refundable retainer, deposit, reservation fee, or initial payment.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, a retainer, deposit, or initial payment will be applied toward the applicable total purchase price.

Any mandatory cancellation or refund right provided by applicable law remains unaffected.

3. DIGITAL ACCESS AND PROPRIETARY MATERIALS

United Academy provides Members with access to valuable proprietary intellectual property.

This may include:
  • Educational videos;
  • Protocols;
  • Demonstrations;
  • Manuals;
  • PDFs;
  • Presentations;
  • Templates;
  • Business resources;
  • Marketing resources;
  • Sales resources;
  • Case studies;
  • Recorded educational content;
  • Product education;
  • Community resources; and
  • Other proprietary materials.
Once access to applicable proprietary digital content or the educational platform has been provided, United Academy considers a material portion of the purchased benefit to have been delivered.

Accordingly, providing access to proprietary digital materials materially limits refund eligibility except where a refund is expressly authorized by United Academy or required by law.

The Member’s failure to actually log in, watch, read, download, attend, complete, or use materials made available to the Member does not convert those materials into undelivered Services.

4. NON-USE DOES NOT CREATE A REFUND RIGHT

A Member is responsible for utilizing the resources made available through the applicable purchased offering.

The following circumstances do not, by themselves, create a right to a refund:
  • Failure to log into the platform;
  • Failure to watch educational videos;
  • Failure to complete materials;
  • Failure to attend coaching;
  • Failure to attend mentorship;
  • Failure to submit cases for review;
  • Failure to participate in the community;
  • Failure to attend an available workshop or event;
  • Failure to communicate with an assigned mentor;
  • Lack of time;
  • Scheduling conflicts;
  • Change of mind; or
  • Voluntary discontinuation of participation.
United Academy’s obligation is to make the applicable purchased benefits available according to the terms of the offering. United Academy is not responsible for a Member’s voluntary decision not to use available benefits.

5. CHANGE IN PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Members should evaluate their financial circumstances and ability to participate before purchasing.

A change in:
  • Employment;
  • Income;
  • Financial circumstances;
  • Family circumstances;
  • Personal schedule;
  • Childcare;
  • Transportation;
  • Travel;
  • Business plans;
  • Career plans;
  • Location;
  • Professional interests; or
  • Personal priorities
does not, by itself, cancel the purchase agreement or create a right to a refund.

This provision remains subject to rights that cannot legally be waived.

6. LICENSING AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

United Academy’s applicable Paramedical Tattoo Professional Membership & Mentorship Programs are private professional-development, education, coaching, and mentorship offerings as described in the United Academy Terms & Conditions.

United Academy does not represent applicable membership programs as governmental licensing programs, vocational-school programs, apprenticeships, or programs awarding governmental licensing hours.

Members are independently responsible for determining licensing, registration, permitting, facility, supervision, insurance, scope-of-practice, and other requirements applicable to their location and intended activities.

Except where United Academy expressly represented otherwise in writing, subsequently discovering that a state, county, municipality, health department, licensing authority, employer, insurer, or other entity requires additional licensing, education, registration, permitting, supervision, insurance, or other qualifications does not, by itself, create a right to a refund.

7. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

United Academy does not guarantee:
  • Employment;
  • Job placement;
  • Licensing;
  • Clients;
  • Revenue;
  • Income;
  • Profitability;
  • Business ownership;
  • Business success;
  • Career advancement;
  • Social-media growth;
  • Marketing results;
  • Sales results; or
  • Any particular professional outcome.
Failure to obtain a desired result does not constitute grounds for a refund.

Testimonials, Member stories, case studies, revenue examples, or other examples of results are illustrative and do not guarantee similar results.

8. PAYMENT PLANS ARE NOT MONTH-TO-MONTH CANCELLABLE MEMBERSHIPS

Where a Member purchases a fixed-price offering and elects to pay that purchase price through installments, the payment plan is a payment accommodation for the total agreed purchase price unless expressly stated otherwise.

It is not automatically a month-to-month subscription.

Therefore, requesting cancellation of access, discontinuing participation, failing to attend, or ceasing use of United Academy resources does not automatically eliminate remaining payment obligations under a fixed-price purchase agreement.

Members remain responsible for payments according to the applicable agreement, subject to applicable law.

Failure to make required payments may result in suspension of access and collection of amounts lawfully due.

9. THIRD-PARTY FINANCING

Third-party financing agreements are separate agreements between the Member and the applicable financing provider.

United Academy does not control the provider’s:
  • Approval decisions;
  • Credit requirements;
  • Financing charges;
  • Interest;
  • Payment schedule;
  • Fees;
  • Collection practices; or
  • Independent contractual terms.
A request to cancel United Academy access does not automatically cancel an independent financing agreement.

If United Academy approves or is legally required to provide a refund involving financed funds, the refund may be processed through the applicable financing provider according to applicable procedures.

10. WORKSHOPS, EVENTS, AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES

A Member’s inability to attend a scheduled workshop, demonstration, event, or educational experience does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Where appropriate and available, United Academy may elect to offer:
  • Transfer to another available date;
  • Account credit;
  • Alternative educational experience; or
  • Another reasonable accommodation.
Such accommodations are discretionary unless otherwise required by an applicable written agreement or law.

United Academy is not responsible for reimbursement of airfare, hotels, transportation, meals, childcare, lost wages, or other incidental expenses incurred by a Member.

11. NO-SHOWS

Failure to attend a scheduled event, workshop, coaching session, mentorship opportunity, or other scheduled Service is considered a Member no-show.

No-shows do not automatically qualify for refunds.

United Academy may, at its discretion, permit rescheduling when appropriate and when capacity is available.

12. RESCHEDULING BY UNITED ACADEMY

United Academy may reasonably change instructors, mentors, dates, times, locations, platforms, formats, resources, or logistical components of a Service.

A reasonable modification does not automatically constitute cancellation or create a right to a refund where United Academy continues to provide the material core of the purchased offering.

If United Academy completely cancels a separately purchased Service and does not provide a reasonable replacement, rescheduled opportunity, credit, substantially equivalent benefit, or other agreed resolution, any refund obligation will be determined according to applicable law and the applicable purchase agreement.

13. EDUCATOR STATUS AND STUDENT MENTORSHIP ACCESS

Student mentorship communities and student-specific support resources are intended for individuals participating in United Academy as students, Members, or developing practitioners.

If a Member transitions into operating as an educator, trainer, instructor, mentor, academy owner, course provider, or similar educational provider, independently or through another organization, United Academy may remove that Member from student-specific mentorship communities and student mentorship access as provided in the Terms & Conditions.

Such a change in eligibility does not constitute cancellation of the Member’s entire purchased offering and does not automatically create a refund right.

The Member may retain other educational-library and platform access to which they remain entitled.

Where United Academy makes it available, the Member may continue direct communication with their originally assigned educator or designated support contact regarding the United Academy education personally received.

14. TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION FOR MEMBER BREACH

United Academy may suspend or terminate applicable access for a material violation of the Terms & Conditions.

Examples include:
  • Account sharing;
  • Credential sharing;
  • Unauthorized copying;
  • Unauthorized recording;
  • Redistribution;
  • Resale;
  • Intellectual-property infringement;
  • Unauthorized commercial exploitation;
  • Fraud;
  • Harassment;
  • Threats;
  • Serious or repeated community violations;
  • Security violations; or
  • Other material breaches.
Termination or suspension resulting from the Member’s material breach does not automatically create a refund right.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY VIOLATIONS

Purchasing access to United Academy does not purchase ownership of United Academy’s intellectual property.

Members who copy, record, reproduce, distribute, republish, resell, sublicense, share, or commercially exploit United Academy materials without authorization may have their access immediately suspended or terminated.

Termination resulting from a substantiated intellectual-property violation does not automatically entitle the Member to a refund.

United Academy expressly reserves its legal rights concerning unauthorized use of its intellectual property.

17. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

Members with payment concerns should contact:

Nothing in this Policy restricts a Member’s lawful right to dispute an unauthorized, fraudulent, incorrect, or otherwise legitimately disputed transaction.

Knowingly making materially false representations to a bank, lender, card issuer, financing provider, or payment processor concerning a valid transaction may constitute a violation of United Academy’s Terms.

United Academy reserves the right to submit documentation relevant to a payment dispute, including:
  • Signed agreements;
  • Electronic acceptance records;
  • Checkout acknowledgments;
  • Payment records;
  • Platform-access records;
  • Login records;
  • Communications;
  • Attendance records;
  • Educational-content access records; and
  • Applicable policies.

18. REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE

Any request for an exception to this Policy must be submitted in writing to:

The request should contain:
  • Member’s full name;
  • Account email;
  • Program or membership purchased;
  • Purchase date;
  • Amount paid;
  • Reason for the request; and
  • Supporting documentation where relevant.
Submission of a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.

United Academy will evaluate requests according to this Policy, the applicable purchase agreement, circumstances of the transaction, and applicable law.

19. DISCRETIONARY REFUNDS, PARTIAL REFUNDS, CREDITS, AND SETTLEMENTS

United Academy may, in its sole discretion and without admitting liability, elect to provide a refund, partial refund, credit, payment adjustment, transfer, cancellation accommodation, or other financial resolution that United Academy is not otherwise legally or contractually required to provide.

Providing such an accommodation in one instance does not modify this Policy, waive United Academy’s rights, establish a precedent, or obligate United Academy to provide the same accommodation to another Member.

Where United Academy offers a negotiated or discretionary settlement, United Academy may require the parties to execute a separate Refund Resolution and Settlement Agreement before the discretionary settlement funds or other negotiated consideration are provided.

Such an agreement may address, where legally appropriate:
  • Settlement amount;
  • Payment method;
  • Resolution of the disputed transaction;
  • Release of claims relating to the dispute;
  • Confidentiality of settlement terms;
  • Intellectual-property obligations;
  • Return or deletion of proprietary materials;
  • Termination or modification of platform access;
  • Termination or modification of mentorship/community access;
  • Representations regarding outstanding payment disputes;
  • Lawful mutual non-disparagement provisions where individually negotiated and legally permissible; and
  • Other lawful provisions reasonably related to final resolution of the dispute.
United Academy will not condition a refund or remedy that a Member is already legally entitled to receive upon signing away rights that cannot legally be waived.

Any non-disparagement provision used in connection with a negotiated settlement shall not prohibit truthful statements, honest consumer reviews where protected by law, reports to governmental or regulatory agencies, cooperation with investigations, truthful responses to legal process, or other legally protected communications.

20. APPROVED REFUNDS AND PARTIAL REFUNDS

If United Academy approves a refund or partial refund, the amount and method will be communicated to the Member.

Refunds will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method or applicable financing provider where practicable.

Processing time may depend upon third-party banks, processors, lenders, or card issuers.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, an approved full refund may result in termination of access to the applicable refunded Service.

A partial refund may result in modification of the Member’s remaining benefits or access as specified in the applicable resolution.

A refund does not transfer ownership of United Academy intellectual property or authorize continued reproduction, distribution, resale, or commercial use of proprietary materials.

21. CREDITS AND TRANSFERS

Where United Academy voluntarily offers a credit, transfer, rescheduling opportunity, or alternative benefit instead of a cash refund, the terms of that accommodation will be communicated to the Member.

A discretionary credit or transfer does not establish an ongoing obligation to provide similar accommodations to other Members.

22. NO WAIVER BY EXCEPTION

United Academy’s decision to issue a refund, partial refund, credit, transfer, payment adjustment, or other accommodation in a particular situation does not waive or modify its Refund Policy for other Members or future transactions.

Each situation may be evaluated individually.

23. RIGHTS REQUIRED BY LAW

NOTHING IN THIS POLICY IS INTENDED TO WAIVE, LIMIT, OR ELIMINATE A REFUND, CANCELLATION, RESCISSION, OR OTHER CONSUMER RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE WAIVED.

Where applicable federal, state, or local law conflicts with this Policy, the applicable mandatory law controls.

24. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER AGREEMENTS

This Policy must be read together with:
  • United Academy Terms & Conditions and Terms of Use;
  • United Academy Privacy Policy;
  • Applicable checkout disclosures;
  • Program-specific purchase terms; and
  • Any separately executed agreement.
Where a separately executed written agreement expressly establishes different refund or cancellation rights for a particular transaction, that agreement controls to the extent of the conflict, subject to applicable law.

25. POLICY CHANGES

United Academy may update this Policy periodically.

The “Last Updated” date identifies the most recent revision.

Changes will apply as permitted by applicable law.

PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By completing my purchase, I expressly acknowledge and agree that:

I understand that, except where otherwise expressly stated in writing or required by applicable law, ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

I understand that retainers, deposits, reservation fees, enrollment payments, and initial payments clearly disclosed as non-refundable before purchase are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

I understand that United Academy may provide access to proprietary digital educational materials and intellectual property shortly after my purchase and that providing such access constitutes delivery of a material benefit of my purchase.

I understand that failing to log in, participate, attend, watch, complete, or use benefits made available to me does not by itself create a refund right.

I understand that changing my mind or experiencing changes in my schedule, finances, employment, location, family circumstances, career plans, or business plans does not by itself create a refund right.

I understand that if I select an installment payment plan for a fixed-price purchase, the installment arrangement is a method of paying the total agreed purchase price and is not automatically a month-to-month subscription that I may terminate simply by discontinuing participation.

I understand that I am independently responsible for researching licensing, registration, permitting, establishment, insurance, supervision, and other regulatory requirements applicable to me.

I understand that United Academy does not guarantee licensing, employment, clients, income, revenue, profitability, business success, or any particular professional outcome.

I understand that becoming an educator, trainer, instructor, mentor, academy owner, course provider, or similar educational provider may change my eligibility for student-specific mentorship but does not automatically create a refund right.

I understand that suspension or termination resulting from my material violation of United Academy’s Terms does not automatically create a refund right.

I understand that if United Academy voluntarily offers a negotiated or discretionary refund, partial refund, credit, payment adjustment, or settlement beyond what United Academy is otherwise legally or contractually required to provide, United Academy may require a separate Refund Resolution and Settlement Agreement as a condition of that discretionary resolution.

I understand that nothing in this Policy eliminates any refund, cancellation, rescission, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

BY COMPLETING MY PURCHASE, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THE UNITED ACADEMY REFUND, CANCELLATION, RETAINER & PAYMENT POLICY.
